Before Tech: Abbey played at Volunteer State CC
in Gallatin, Tenn., where she was named first-team all conference
her freshman year and third-team all conference her sophomore
season...hit six home runs while driving in 35 RBIs on 35 hits as a
freshman...batted .348 her second season with a .442 on base
percentage and drove in 31 RBIs.
High School: An all-district player at Donelson Christian
Academy, Abbey hit .377 in her senior year with 16 RBIs in 23
games. She also had 26 hits and a home run to her name.
Personal: Abbey Britton Hayes is the daughter of David
and Rosie Hayes of Antioch, Tenn… birthday is July 19,
1989… majoring in exercise science.
